Qatar Airlines Checked Baggage Allowance

Free checked baggage allowance on all Qatar Airlines flights depends on the weight and dimensions of baggage, plus the route and cabin class.

  • 40 kg of checked baggage is allowed in Business Class cabins, with baggage size not exceeding 158 cm in total dimensions including length, width, and height.
  • For flights to and from India, for first-class travelers, the maximum weight of baggage is 50 kg and the maximum dimension is 300 cm.
  • For those traveling in business class, to and from India the maximum weight of checked baggage is 40 kg, with a dimension of 300 cm.
  • When traveling in economy class on a Qatar Airlines flight, 30 kg check-in baggage is allowed, with dimensions not exceeding 300 cm.

Excess baggage rate per additional kg would vary, based on the origin and destination of your flight.  From India to the Middle East, online purchase costs USD 12 per kg, whereas, offline purchase costs USD 15 per kg. Traveling between Europe and India, offline payment costs around USD 30 per kg, whereas online purchase costs USD 25 per kg.

  • Passengers of first-class and business class can carry two pieces of hand baggage not exceeding 15 kg, whereas, economy class passengers are allowed one piece of baggage weighing up to 7 kg.
  • You can check in properly packed sporting equipment, such as bicycles, surfboards, fishing equipment, golf clubs, kayaks, trekking equipment, etc. within your free baggage limits.
